When my son turned 5, he started to draw and write more. We use to use the small manual pencil sharpener that you get at the dollar store. We have thrown away many pencils, believing it were the pencils.
After getting the Panasonic KP380-BK Classic Electric Pencil Sharpener, I now wish we didn’t throw out all those pencils. Now I realize that it was the cheapo pencil sharpener.
The Panasonic KP380-BK Classic Electric Pencil Sharpener sharpens perfectly everytime. The point is crisp & sharp, it is never off center. Even the cheaper pencils comes out sharp. I never blame the pencil anymore.
My 5 year old could sharpen his own pencils with this sharpener. The auto-stop works and stops to prevent over-sharpening. We did learn to prevent the sharpener from jamming, we had to not insert the pencil quickly. This sharpener is full of power, very sturdy and quiet. There are suction cups on the base to keep it in place, you do not need to hold it down.
